Tesla's charging system wins


Toyota announced late Thursday that it will adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS), leaving few automakers left with a long-term commitment to combined charging systems (CCS), which are currently dominant in non-Tesla EVs. 
 
The battle is certainly won, as even the biggest resistance groups are publicly considering replacing them with NACS. NACS will be the charging standard that powers America. Toyota’s announcement followed a now well-known formula. Toyota plans to install his NACS port in its own EVs sold in the U.S. market starting in 2025. The company has not said anything about providing adapters…
